The Name Game - Shirley Ellis

When talk about music, I always touch on pop music… new songs from US… not many people know that this mature man also like oldies…. for example…. today I pick to highlight here an old song called "The Name Song

Know and like this song for years but never take effort to find out who the singer was or the song title. When I heard it play on radio this morning (just woke up and still lazy on bed than) I made a remark in my mind that I want to blog of this song today.

The ever helpful Google easily feed me with the information I need. Who is the singer (Found)

Who is Shirley Ellis ?

How the music of The Name game sound like ? You can watch and listen to this song thru YouTube of cause emoticon

So have you reliased by now why I introduce this song over here ? Yes, the fun that you can get thru the lyric… it is a game… but need to listen carefully in order to know what she sang….. surely the lyric I paste up below will be helpful.

The Name Game

Shirley!
Shirley, Shirley bo Birley Bonana fanna fo Firley
Fee fy mo Mirley, Shirley!

Lincoln!
Lincoln, Lincoln bo Bincoln Bonana fanna fo Fincoln
Fee fy mo Mincoln, Lincoln!

Come on everybody!
I say now let’s play a game
I betcha I can make a rhyme out of anybody’s name
The first letter of the name, I treat it like it wasn’t there
But a B or an F or an M will appear
And then I say bo add a B then I say the name and Bonana fanna and a
fo
And then I say the name again with an F very plain
and a fee fy and a mo
And then I say the name again with an M this time
and there isn’t any name that I can’t rhyme

Arnold!
Arnold, Arnold bo Barnold Bonana fanna fo Farnold
Fee fy mo Marnold Arnold!

But if the first two letters are ever the same,
I drop them both and say the name like
Bob, Bob drop the B’s Bo ob
For Fred, Fred drop the F’s Fo red
For Mary, Mary drop the M’s Mo ary
That’s the only rule that is contrary.

Okay? Now say Bo: Bo
Now Tony with a B: Bony
Then Bonana fanna fo: bonana fanna fo
Then you say the name again with an F very plain: Fony
Then a fee fy and a mo: fee fy mo
Then you say the name again with an M this time: Mony
And there isn’t any name that you can’t rhyme

Every body do Tony!
Pretty good, let’s do Billy!
Very good, let’s do Marsha!
A little trick with Nick!
The name game

I hope you all like this song to…. next time when you hear this song…. try to insert your name into it… than your partner name… your good friends name etc etc… sure most off you will find your tongue tighten into a knot at the end emoticon

Stinky - No More Kitten

Just got the new photo of Stinky last night, through Soraya… the sweet little girl who adopted Stinky from us almost 2 years ago.

This is the photo of pretty Stinky ! emoticon

Gosh  emoticon  Look at her tail…. so furry…. I always know she will turn to be a pretty witch.

For those who want to know how tiny she was back to the time I picked her up from street, do click this link => STINKY

I have not come into contact with Stinky since March because Soraya and family already moved to new place, kind of far from me (2.5hrs distance by air).  Miss Stinky but I know she is a happy girl now emoticon

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme Doughnut open their first outlet in Malaysia on April 2009. The first store at Berjaya Time Square. Too far for me to go and the Q sound crazy + the price are not that attractive. Then second store setup at Mid Valley and I think the new store in Sunway Pyramid should be the 3rd outlet.

Yesterday evening I got my first bite of Malaysia made Krispy Kreme when we met Mary for dinner at Mid Valley, she is a family friend from KK. (My first encounter with Krispy Kreme doughnut was end last year when I bought 2 at Sydney airport)

Price of 1 doughnut => RM2.80

Size of doughnut => Smaller than another 3 competitors (Dunki Donut. Big Apple & JC Donut)

Taste =>  emoticon I am loving it !  Sweet and full with filling ! Wa la la

Oh ya…. some general knowledge about Krispy Kreme where I copied from the side of the box :

Krispy Kreme has been making doughbuts of the highest quality from a carefully guarded, sercet recipe since 1937. We promise to continue to make good-tasting, high-quality products because that is what you expert and deserve, and that is what we expect of ourselves.

Lastly, Krispy Kreme originated from Kentuky, USA (I read this from the homepage) emoticon

Virgin Coconut Oil Soap

Let me blog about Coconut…. hehehehe…. nothing better to blog ? no lar… sure got something interesting to share on Coconut.

First….. let me refresh you about coconut.  Paste below the photos of fresh coconut (which cut into half and a nice pretty coconut plant next to white beach)

Now… go to the main interest… Virgin Coconut Oil….. familiar with this term ?  o

Counters at Jusco Supermarket displayed a table full of products which have a big label printed Virgin Coconut Oil xxxxxxxx…. not dare to get closer to check out those stuffs, worry the sales team will net team and I eventually have to separate my cash from my wallet.

Another opportunity on coconut came to me again on yesterday when I went to pet shop (regular) to get foods for Baileys. The lady boss was busy dealing with 2 ladies on some boxes on the cashier counter. The busy body me get closer to see what they deal with…. mmm… look like direct sales stuffs, something like below photo.

So the friendly me (like real) teased the lady boss “Wow…. You so clever, other than pet foods.. u selling health products too” Of cos she please and would not want to let go a potential handsome customer like, started to highlight me on her products. Mentioned the most popular item is her Virgin Coconut Oil Soap…. immediately she get one from the drawer and gave to me (free of cause). She asked me to try out…. said good for skin.

Anyone of you used this Virgin thing before ? it is really that good ? I used the soap last night and this morning, no special effect lor… guess my skin tooooooo thick ! The only thing I like is not soapy after I leather my skin with it.

Defination for Virgin Coconut oil  : oil extracted from fresh coconut (not copra) meat by mechanical or natural means. It can be obtained with or without using heat. To protect the oil’s essential properties, the production of virgin coconut oil does not undergo chemical refining, bleaching, or deodorizing. Said to be high in vitamins and minerals, it is fit for consumption without the need for further processing.

hehehehe… I always thought Virgin Coconut is something like never being xxxx before….  emoticon
