Live Like You Were Dying

Gordon Ramsay is the name of the guy I shown here. He is another famous face in Hollywood (which origin from Britain) because of TV reality show. Another British in Hollywood which well know all over the world is Mr Simon Cowell of American Idol.

I discovered Chef Ramsay thru HELL KITCHEN season 1. When I known about this program and view it thru local tv station, the serious already reach the end of the season, meaning I missed out lot of fun. He is the very demanding chef who appear to be the teacher, pusher, screamer and decision maker in this TV reality show. He will deal with a group of candidates consist of 6 males 6 females who think they can cook and ready to compete for the top price which is owning a restaurant. Provided they emerge as the ultimate winner at the end of the series.

Last week, the satelite Asia Food Channel began showing HELL KITCHEN season 2. As usual, all the 12 candidates put up a brave proud face when the enter the building. All of them think they are great and going to make Gordon go speechless.

What they learned eventually was they were nothing in skill and style. They act silly and fail badly to coordinate properly when cook for their customers. Situation like stove get burned, foods over or undercook, some candidates collaped under pressure etc.

So if you do have time and you enjoy cooking process… please tune into this program to share the fun of cooking. When I surfed to the homepage, I reliased that in US, the show already completed it season 3 run…. gosh… I still have to wait long for it to reach local station.

I have quit my current job on yesterday afternoon…. ooop… no no no… not "I" but "WE" .. so the statement should be We have Quit our job from present company (The WE consist of 2+3 head count. "1" is for the handsome PaPa T which served his last day to the company on 31 Dec 07, another new recruit who resign because certain people in management dont like her apperance and the balance "3" suppose to serve our notice till end Feb)  By the way, the no of head we have from the old guard force is 8 person. Meaning 62.5% have gone by now. 

The Brown Nose in my office which cause us our job was very excited with my resignation. In fact he don’t waste another min to call other and announce my decision of departure. I am kind of impress with myself cause myI present really give him such a huge pain in the ass till he felt so relieve when i said i have enough of your shit.

Now we are counting days…. not sure Brown Nose and his gang going to give us a peaceful 4 weeks in office or they continue will carry on with their sabotage, manipulation cum revenge practise.

Will keep you all inform on my future encounter. 

Oh… I totally forget to put up this posting which I drafted and keep aside since days ago. My intention is to show you a Snoppy mug which I brought back home since 2 wks ago. In fact this mug already put into used on the next morning.

So what made this mug unique and made me highlight here to you here ? Okay… I think the design is nice.. cute Snoopy on surfboard at both side of the mug.    

Beside the nice design, another unique feature of this mug is the size. Let me show you another picture which compare the size of this new mug with my ordinary mug.

I used it to mix my cereal and fresh milk for my breakfast instead of a bowl in the past.

Now… do you want to know how I much it cost me to have this cute mug ?   Answer is $ 0

It is a free gift I got when I bought 2 tubes of toothpaste. Promise you it is a good deal and the promotion is over by now.   

"Lust Caution" was the most talk about Asian movie for year 2007 especially by Nov - Dec when it was on theater all over Asia. The nudity and love making screens cause serious censorship arguement all over the place. Due to the cutting on those precious screen, me for sure will not pay my good money for cinema viewing. I already have the uncensor DVD copy but have not watch yet. Maybe this weekend.

Oh ya… by the way… another main reason for this movie to be so famous was it directed by Ang Lee (also directed Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). Also the lead actor was one of the biggest star in Asia, Tony Leong.    

Change subject, still on the title => Lust Caution but now I want to let you know a little bit about the author of this book. It was a short story wrote by Eileen Chang (张爱玲）. A very well know writer origin from China. I know of her name since long ago but never really put my hand on her book. Mainly was it is a woman stuffs.

However, the Ho Ha on media about this movie made me changed my mind and began to seach of the book since December. All bookstore I enter do not have the book. Maybe nobody care about her writting…. or running out of stock ???

I was so excited on Sunday night because my search was over. I found it and it was the last one on display (according to the stuff, this title sold like hot cake) I flip thru the pages and found some damaged like water mark on some of it but the desperate me dont give a damn now…. I JUST NEED TO HAVE THE BOOK so I paid & brought it back to read.

Below are the cover of this book… like the lotus and simple design. I started with the first short story and few pages down… nice to read (she talked about woman woman woman) I may have to go from story to story before I reach Lust Caution which they put it a the last section.   

The impatient me may opt to jump to last story and straight away finish it. Who know ?  

Another thing I like about this purchased was I found a nice bookmark in it. Let me show you how this wonderful bookmark look !

That’s all I want to blah about this subject. If you want to know more of the movie, actor, director, author … u can easily find them thru search. No need me to story you long long here right ?

On 24 January, I did a posting about my English test result. I was very excited than because with that result it mean I had pass my degree certificate (this is part of the requirement for all local undergrad to be qualify as graduate).

Just now my ex classmate rang me. Told me today newspaper have a report  on test result. They did a breakdown and analysis the overall score of this test. Conclusion was "many not fluent in English"   

You see, I know my English standard is far from good and I managed to scored second level from top. I decided to do some calculation thru the figure available and the conclusion I got was 98.3% of those sat for test were fair below below m standard in their English command. It sound disaster to me as so many of our our potential university graduates have such a poor English standard. No wonder most of buddies who concern of their future are in the process of moving out from this crazy piece of land.

Many students still not fluent in English

PETALING JAYA: A total of 40,222 or 47.79% of all candidates achieved Band Three or higher in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET). 

According to a statement from the Malaysian Examinations Council, 37 obtained Band Six, 1,424 Band Five, 9,702 Band Four, 29,059 Band Three, 32,656 Band Two and 11,271 Band One. 

A total of 84,149 candidates sat for the test. 

MUET, which tests listening, speaking, reading and writing, classifies candidates according to six bands or levels of achievement, from Very Good User (Band Six) to Extremely Limited User (Band One).
