Lion Dance
Monday morning… Again
Took a short walked around office area after sitting too long in office (the countdown for last day mood getting stronger)
Heard loud drum beating from a corner street… Tong Tong Chiang….. ya… familiar tone…. LION DANCE on action.
Decided to go there and snap a few photos to put up here.
First photo here is the close look of a Lion head. I always love the nice furry ear and big eyes which blink during the performance.

Lion dance in progress. We Chinese love to invite this Lion association troop to performance a short dance at shop during Chinese Lunar New Year festival. Said it will bring good fortune to the company.

The next picture showing the Lion in the process of claiming his reward… an Ang Pow which tied next fresh vegetable. It symbolic the Lion consume the foods prepared by the shop owner (but the fact is it is the time for the troop to check out how much they get paid for the performance)

This last photo I like the most…. the Lion looked really excited.

I love to chase Lion Dance troops from house to house during CNY festival while young. Later, my Dad paid for the troop to come to our home to dance during new year.
And nowaday…. i don’t know why…. Lion or no Lion make no different to me anymore. Guess I am aged !
