Maxis Over Charges

Filed under: Something

Imaging…. you are lost on the middle of somewhere looking for a company which you need to visit. After much effort of driving around and still can’t get the building right. The quicker solution is call that company main line ask for direction.

IT happen that you also do not have that company main line contact. Never mind, call the ever helpful enquiry line, a service that provided by the nation top telephone network => TELEKOM and the ever popular helpline no is ====> "103"

The service charges use to be affordable and most of the time we get what we need in short time.

A lot of us not aware that such a good service cheap NO More. Let me share with you an experience of a victim who decided to circulate his encounter thru email. Here I put up that email below for more people to view and get aleart of the changes  emoticon

======================================================================================

STOP CALLING 103 through your MAXIS number.

If you are using Maxis network and please be alert that now the new charges for making 103 (TM Directory) was increased from 30 cents to RM2.00 per call. (extra of RM1.70 almost 700% jump).

I just found out from my maxis statement dated 21/6/08 today and i rang up the Maxis 123 and been told the new rate was started lately only and since I’m not aware of this new adjustment and they willing to waive it for this month but next month will be charging me based on the new rate (RM2.00 per call to103).

Shocking right? The best part is everyone knew how ‘good’ service our TM directory can provide?? Most the time i need to call at least 2-3 times to get the number i looking for mean that one number i need to pay RM4.00 to RM6.00…

======================================================================================

I am one of the handsome victim of this scandal…. hehehehe… last month I paid RM4.00 for 2 calls made to "103"

1st call I get connected but wrongly pressed the cancel button upon the machine pick up the line…. RM 2.00 gone (a can of Coke cost RM 1.30)

2nd call I am more careful with my figure. The intelligent lady answered my called. Gave her the company name and location….. sadly she told me…. "No such Company" !!!!! emoticon    My only solution was called my someone dear & get this person to surf online for that company phone no…. this attempt prove fruitful and it only cost me RM 0.30. emoticon

Am decided not to pursuit the mobile network on this issue…. it is a lesson I learn… no more "103" service thru my handphone. Simple right ? emoticon
