How to recover files from formatted drive ?

Was in very tension emoticon mind since Tuesday morning when my notebook suddenly corrupted, unable to reboot and eventually the IT guy confirmed with me that my C: drive GONE emoticon

Disaster strike because I have not backup those photos I took on Perth trip. Luckly this time I kept all my working related files at D: drive which never affected by this damaged.

For days, I am thinking of any other way to get back some of these pictures but I know I never do backup to thumbdrive or anything. The other things I did with these 200pcs full of memory photos was I reduced some of the photos size (about 30 of them) and put it on my blog. What to do, download these few remain photos and save it to my backup drive just now (Finally… backup)

I also contacted Madam E & Ms Sui as I thought I did forwarded them some of my more personal photos for sharing… No good news, both ladies said "Where got photo to me from your Perth trip!"

What other channel I can try ? Yes, go for data recovery software. I found one such shareware online on afternoon. Out of curiousity, run the program, after 30mins of searching… slowly those disappeared OLD photos (some photo back to 1yr ago) appeared on the result column. I get excited and after 1hour search done and I can see those photos from Perth trip all listed.

Happy for a few minuntes emoticon only because when I pressed "NEXT" button, the instruction "Get Product License" pop out. Meaning I have to pay USD 39+ if I want to use this software to recover those suppose to be forever gone files.

Money or Memory ? My mind tell me TAKE back the photos no matter what way. This was the first time I am so ready to pay online for a software.

Since it is dinner time, I decided to come back for this subject after meal. However, the petty me never stop thinking about $$$ so began to tell myself => Search for another Shareware which really free !

This thought brought me to below link which provide a very simple + practical totally free data recovery software.

Installed and run the software for 30 mins and there it go…… more than 10,000 various type of photos appeared in the list and all my Perth photos are there. emoticon

With out delay, I quickly copied those photos and save them into my external HDD this time. No more excuse of picture gone for this time.

No more sadness of gone memory….. Cheer to online FREEWARE !

At the front of picture you can see a small source of chilly… mm…. the boss always reminder us…. "my chilly special one… have more… have more"

Ahh….. I got another photo which close up of the yummy chicken and ginger topping. ai yo….. saliva drip again….. must go on coming weekend… kakakakaka emoticon

Yasmin Ahmad - Going to miss her

Yasmin Ahmad - the icon of Malaysia film industry passed away on Saturday. News about her fall sick and get hospitalised reported on Friday… thought she will survive the attacked. Her dead is a big lost to this country film industry.

She was one of the few directors in the country who dare to tell the story of Malaysian. Sadly, not many of us appreciate her works. I am one of the few who follow her products (I mean I pocket out my money to go cinema to watch her products…. usually i only do so for Hollywood movies)

I hope one day… her movie like Sepet, Gubra, Mukhsin and Muallaf (which not allow to show in Malaysia due to controversial subject) and her last product Talentime (oop… i have not watch this title yet… what a shame) will turn into classic collection for the people in the country.

Golden Yam Cake

Ok… this one fun…… I just back from lunch. The place name is PJ Old Town which have lot of old fashion shops and cheap cum yummy foods.

The food court I ate was the one next to wet market. No air-con and not so clean but some of the foods there are delicious. I choose Pork Rice as my lunch, it cost me RM 4/-

Now… look at below picture. It just a few meters across my table. I took it because the guy directly next to my table order a place of food from them.

Now… let me show you this Golden Yam Cake (I named it so because it is not cheap) photo which that guy ordered.

My colleague just told me that this is a type of Hakka food called as "Suan Pan Ziemoticon

The question here is I want you all the make a guess on how much does the guy had to pay for this plate of food ?

Just picture this : She put the plate on the table and said out the price. No respond from the guy so she repeat the amount again (which by now I noted so I turned my head over and see what happen) What i saw was the guy holding his wallet and so reluctant to pull out the cash. He asked her again for the PRICE and she repeat again…. by now I am clearly know what amount he have to pay but my mind started to ask….. pay or not pay !!!!!

The woman started to get frustrated and she nag on…. the yam very expensive… the ingredients also not cheap…. and go on…. the poor guy finally took out the money and gave to her.

So how much do you think he have to pocket out from this Golden Fried Yam ?

The ever BusyBody me made a remark… wow…. and asked permission to snap the photo above. The guy asked me to go ahead …  emoticon After I done with my rice… when I moved out, I made a quick check with them…. "Nice or Not ?"  hehehehehe….. all of the gave me "nothing special" look ! emoticon
