Ipoh Tim Sum - Restaurant Yoke Fook Moon

Should put this information up after last weekend but busy schedule made me delay my posting….

By now, those regular visitors should know that I made posting on Ipoh foods very frequent and this not going to stop as I always go up there for weekend trip.

I had shown the photo of Tim Sum (Hong Kong breakfast) here too previously but I forget to mention the place name than.

I remember to snap photo of this restaurant signboard on weekend (after my meal) The name is Yoke Fook Moon.  Next and opposite it have 2 other very popular restaurant who serve Tim Sum too.

Beside those commonly known Tim Sum like Siew Mai and Pau…. I also order Lor Mai Kai (Steam Sticky Rice with Chicken)  It taste alright emoticon

The killer Tim Sum from this outlet is Har Kin (Fried Prawn Roll) I never had enough of this serving. It especially yummy when they serve it hot.

I consumed more than 3 rolls on my last visit emoticon

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme Doughnut open their first outlet in Malaysia on April 2009. The first store at Berjaya Time Square. Too far for me to go and the Q sound crazy + the price are not that attractive. Then second store setup at Mid Valley and I think the new store in Sunway Pyramid should be the 3rd outlet.

Yesterday evening I got my first bite of Malaysia made Krispy Kreme when we met Mary for dinner at Mid Valley, she is a family friend from KK. (My first encounter with Krispy Kreme doughnut was end last year when I bought 2 at Sydney airport)

Price of 1 doughnut => RM2.80

Size of doughnut => Smaller than another 3 competitors (Dunki Donut. Big Apple & JC Donut)

Taste =>  emoticon I am loving it !  Sweet and full with filling ! Wa la la

Oh ya…. some general knowledge about Krispy Kreme where I copied from the side of the box :

Krispy Kreme has been making doughbuts of the highest quality from a carefully guarded, sercet recipe since 1937. We promise to continue to make good-tasting, high-quality products because that is what you expert and deserve, and that is what we expect of ourselves.

Lastly, Krispy Kreme originated from Kentuky, USA (I read this from the homepage) emoticon

Gui Leng Kao

This is a Gui Leng Kao, a type of herbal jelly. I learn to like this jelly stuff 10yrs ago. Will go for it when ever I am near to one of this store.

Opp… I only snap below photo after I have a few scope on yesterday evening. emoticon

Actually it taste bitter… according to the formula… this jelly can made our body less heaty.

Usually people will add in some honey + sugar into the jelly to reduce the bitterness.

Koong Woh Tong is one of the company which open a few branches in the city. The one I visited last night is located in Mid Valley.
