Live Like You Were Dying

This is the movie tickets I bought moment ago for tonight outing.    Sooooo long never go theater liao…. kind of excited.

Yes, I am going for Star Trek tonight. To lot of you, this is a weeks old movie…. hehehe…. i busy mah…. finally made the effort to get the tickets. The bad news is the movie will be play in smaller cinema because those big theaters already dedicated to Terminator or Angel & Demon

You know why I want to watch Star Trek or not ?  Main reason is I like below actor !

His name is Zachary Quinto. Famous in TV series Heroes as Sylar, the ultimate bad guy. This was the first time he appear in movie….. must support him.

The rest of actors I not real know who is who… hopefully the know how to act

I will treat this movie as a stand alone movie because I am not a Star Trek junky. I don’t real know who the main characters for the last few movies. The only impression I got about Star Trek is big space ship with lot of funny looking aliens.

Today is the premier day for Quantum of Solace in Malaysia. I am not going to rush all the way to cinema for this movie cause i am very sure it will be full house for next 2 weeks. The old man me will be patient and wait for the cool down period than go for a relaxing show  

Any idea the meaning of the name of this movie   Let me give you a help as I search the dictionary for the words at below :

QUANTUM -> the smallest amount or unit of something, especially energy

SOLACE    -> to give help and comfort to someone when they are feeling sad or worried

The poster I pasted on top already on a big billboard stand next to the main road since 2 months ago. Every morning during my drive to work, sure I will get a reminder from Daniel that his movie is coming to town very soon….. 

So what make you like Bond movies ? Sexy girl plus super charming lead actor right ? Thru the promotion pictures I found on net, I don’t think that the latest lead lady are pretty… wonder why the producer picked her ????  Do you think it is due to they want to make Daniel more outstanding compare with the ladies around him ?

For me, the main reason for me to looking forward on latest Bond movie is the action segment. Daniel made bond more human as he got beaten and cuts more than other Bond. His fit look also made the character more convincing as a tough agent. 

Oh ya…. another character that I love so much is M, especially since Dame Judi Dench took over this character as the first female M in 1995 (Golden Eye) She simply gorgeous (for her age la)

I believe Daniel Craig will stay on as Mr Bond for a longer period of time…. Why ? Who can forget the sexy picture of him with his tight swim trunk during the 1st film as Bond  Just in case you already forget about this, here are some of those pic of him which prove that he is the fittest Bond so far.

Mamma Mia - the movie….. unexpected entertaining movie which I watched last night (DVD Version)

The cast is great, the story is fun + funny and the musics are superb…. for those who familiar with ABBA songs…. you will lost in time….. sometime you may just wonder are you watching a movie my Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan  OR  in fact you are listening to ABBA album 

The movie tell a story making used of good song…. very little conversation but with lot of fun dancing. Most of the time, the actors just dress simple and look like lack of makeup (which made Meryl look old and plain) and they male actor never shy away to displaythey were no more bodybuilder.

Beside the lead actors, the show were enhance a lot by it background. Half of those dancers were mature in age but the background of the scene made the so believing.

Not forget to mentioned the beautiful island the producer selected to shot this movie. Natural and clean…… the blue sea was crystal clear. Wonderful place to be

Red Clift - an expensive movie directed by John Woo + a strong cast of actors from various countries is a vey heavy movie to watch. The story and characters written based on the ever famous acient novel from China, The Three Kingdom.

The main attraction of this book is it full with interesting war plot and brilliant attacking strategic. However when we come to movie commercial value, the production team have to drop all this major factor and smartly insert in love story… pretty face… some magical kung fu action etc.

I decided to paste up the photos of the 4 main male characters here. We got the ever handsome Tony Leong (HongKong) However, he dont look good in the show… smile too much and too romantic look….

ZhangFengYi (China) is CaoCao, a cunning general. He make the show very interesting and lively. Than we got 2 Taiwanese actors Takeshi (1/2 Japanese) and ZhangChen. Have the actors from 3 main Chinese based audience…. A marketing plan which so common now in Asian made Chinese movies.

As usual, female character always an important attaction to a movie…. even for a war story which suppose to be full with male warrior. We got 2 pretty faces appeared in this movie. One is the ever famous Taiwanese Supermodel, Ling xxxxx (dont like her cause she so fake in the way she talk) and the second girl is Zhao Wei, A China actress which used to be famous in TV Drama.

I don’t think their characters real have a big part in the book but they was given a big part on movie…

Another 2 supporting actors also worth to mention here… ha… can you imaging a Japanese actor in the movie   I was wondering when i watched the DVD last night why the actor I put up his photo below look so different and hard ?  Later than I found out that he is a Japanese. Get him into the movie just purely for Japanese market kua…

So after more than 2 hrs on the movie… it end with the main actor looking at the enemy camp which not too fall opposite. Both camp are geting ready for war !

And this big war will happen in RED CLIFT PART II hehehehehe Not sure when the sequence will be up on screen… wait lor

The Dark Knight - Kind of slow for me to blog on this movie now as it already 3rd week on screen. Well, what to do, chances to get the tickets for this 2 1/2 hours movie was very very slim…. in fact when I watched this movie on previous Sunday, I had to get the tickets on Friday evening or else will be fullhouse again on the showing day.

Instead of talking about Christian Bale (the leatherman) I prefer to start my blah blah on Heath Ledger instead.

Undenialble, Heath version Joker easily overshadow our leatherman. 

The Joker he carried look ugly, sad, crazy and evil. He have no mercy feeling and he loved to hurt others. Of cos….. this Joker did bad things without reason.

This Joker claimed he got his mouth cutted in order to make him look like smiling all the time and the wound of this cut look very sad on his face… the make-up was great.  

To me, Heath version of Joker was so much real compare to Jack Nicholson version as Jack made the Joker looked fun and naughty. I believe both of the will maintain the title of best Joker in any Batman movies.

 Now…. switched my attention to the star of the movie => The Dark Knight

What to say about leatheman ? mmmm….  I like his Batmobile and some of his latest weapon.  No other comment….. hehehehe…. sorry Batman…… 

Don’t you agree that the tires of his bike look great ?  
 

Maggie Gyllenhaal, the only lead lady in this movie. She look so so to me….she gave me an impression of the actress from Spiderman and I don’t like both acting and face of them. One thing good about her in the show…. she no need to screen and kick like the crazy woman in Spiderman.

Another outstanding actor in this movie is Aaron Eckhart. I think his character name is Two Faces. He represent a good man which work so hard to improve the city from never ending crimes but at the end his personality got tainted and turned into a villain who full of hate and revenge. He looked scary when he turn to the dark side.
