Silver Medal for M’sia

A Silver medal to Malaysia at the end. I accept the fact that it is the best Lee Chong Wei could achieve for this time. The opponent, Lin Dan from China is too strong and powerful to beat. He don’t earn the name of world No 1 position just because he is cute right !? ..It is a FACT that lot of us have to accept that a Gold medal is not in our side since the beginning. So don’t blame our player not trying his best ok ! emoticon

Thank You No 1  to Lee Chong Wei

Wish to thanks Lee for making us the Chinese Malaysian proud. You prove to the non-Chinese Malaysian community that we can achieve something they are not able to do for the country even they are majority and getting all the privilleage. emoticon  To those who always putting bad statement on Chinese Malaysian, eat your own foot now !

Thank Tou No 2 to Lee Chong Wei

Thank you No 2 to Lee is more sentimental… hehehehe ….yesterday was a family gathering for Tan (my father) family offspring for the very first time in many years just because of the high profile final match.

3 of us (the brothers) gather at eldest brother’s home to wait for the live telecast (for last few years, we only appeared together at a same spot due family commitment like Chinese New Year, parent birthday or prayer day for Dad) Last night was a first where we gather due to our personal interest. My relationship with eldest brother was in very basic connection for last 10 years because he cannot accept the type of life style I choose. For this reason, I avoid all type of direct contact with him till today.

I think Mum sure happy with yesterday small get together and the most interesting part was beside 3 of us who bear the family name of Tan at present generation, we also joined by the next generation from the family. Both nephew of my brother also present in the group and they follow up with the match closely + 2 beautiful nieces who have no knowledge why we so crazy over a game on TV. emoticon

Without Lee Chong Wei good peformance at Beijing, above scenario will not happen at all !

Feng TianWei - S’pore Olympic medal winner

I try not to touch on the subject of Singapore athlelic performance in Beijing Olympic because it is not so nice to highlight on how the nation organised their representative for this event, especially from the negative aspect.

However my dearest Miss Sui hint hint me to do posting on her nation latest achievement on table tennis, winning a Silver medal thru Feng TianWei . emoticon Miss Sui not aware the evil me only have bad comment toward this so call be success of Singapore in their Olympic history. emoticon

Why I think this is not an achievement at all ? Let me tell you how my respont was when I hear thru friend that Singapore going to collect their first ever medal thru table tennis…. without even checking into the player name or background, i already told my friend that player must be ex-China citizen. Nothing big deal one lar…. emoticon

Than came Miss Sui request to me to blog something on this Feng gal, no choice but have to do a quick research on her background…. guess what I found ? kakakaka….. let let me cut and paste what i found on about this little Dragon lady ….. emoticon

Who is Feng Tianwei?

Feng Tianwei won the crucial third singles for Singapore against South Korea to propel the Singapore national table tennis team to the final.

Who is she?

Here are some quick facts about Feng Tianwei:

  • Date of birth - August 31, 1986 (21 years old)
  • Born in China
  • Came to Singapore in April 2007; received citizenship nine months later in January 2008
  • Part of China’s national youth squad before coming to Singapore
  • Beat world number one Zhang Yining of China at the Asian Cup in Sapporo, Japan earlier this year
  • World ranking in August 2007 - 73rd
  • Current World ranking - 9th

Arrrrrrrrrr ….. they qualified this Chinese girl as Singaporean in such a short period of time… desperate for a player kua !  Why can’t the country just accept the fact that their 100% true Singapore born citizen are not good enough for sport ? emoticon  Singapore also have famous and world ranking badminton player in their stable… want to make a guess where these player them brought in from ?   hehehehehe….  Indonesia lar…

One Medal for Malaysia in Beijing

Lee Chong Wei, Malaysia badminton team no 1 player secure a medal for the country on yesterday evening. The first medal for current Beijing Games. It will be either a Silver or even Gold medal and this will be determine Sunday evening final match between him and China No 1 player.

Malaysia team have not bring back any medal from last 12years, 3 Olympic games. In fact not many of us really dare to hope for a medal at all though the sport bodies give promises on this year games.

Last few days I kept a close eyes on Lee performance in his event. When he step into Semi-final, I was kind of fleak out. I don’t believe he can’t come that close. In fact i was sitting in front of the TV to view him beating his Korean opponents live yesterday evening. Found my palms kind of pain at the end of the 3rd match when he seal the winning point.

So could Lee Chong Wei create another FIRST in Malaysia history by winnning a Gold medal on Sunday match ? emoticon Because if he win the Gold medal, he will get a cash reward of RM 1,000,000.00 from Malaysia government emoticon  Let us wait and see !

Would there be another medal after above mention success ? emoticon

====== Brief History on Malaysia Olympic Record =======

First participated the game on year 1956

1992 (Barcelona) = Won the first medal (Bronze) for the country through Mens’ Badminton Doubles.

1996 (Atlanta) = Second medal (Silver) by another Men’s Badminton Double. This follow by another Bronze medal by Men’s Badminton Single.

Michael Phelps & Beijing Medal update

Michael Phelps - he made it to history as the greatest Olympian of all time by capturing the 11th gold medals of his career in the Games. emoticon

He came to Beijing Games with 6 golds in his pockets thru previous games he won in Athens 4 years ago. If I am not mistaken, he have targeted for 8 medals in this year games. So far he already collected 5 of it. 3 more to go. emoticon

Since he is so outstanding in the games so far… I have not choice but put up 2 of his pictures on my blog today. Not really a cute guy to me….. I think his body kind of too long….. not a sexy figure… emoticon

Beijing Olympic Medal Chart (13 Aug)

These few days busy following on Beijing 2008 game performance. As Malaysian, most of us focus on badminton individual event now as we have a few plays in it. Last night was a busy one, 3 matchs on the court. Not dare to put high expectation on them  emoticon  emoticon  The stupid TV station not even want to make report on these match…… maybe those players on the event is not Malay kua ! emoticon

Heard the result this morning….. only one player, Lee Chong Wei (single player) managed to beat his opponent and now he step into Quarter-final… last 8 players kua…. still a long shot from any medal hope but better than no hope at all right  emoticon

Let’s switch focus to overall medals standing. As predicted, China still leading the medal standing right till yesterday evening. And South Korea follow close at 3rd spot…..

Country
13 3 4 20
7 7 8 22
5 6 1 12
4 1 1 6
3 4 2 9
3 2 5 10
3 1 2 6

I don’t expect this patern to stay much longer as once athletics event begin, team from West will start to pick up their Gold medals.
